Sermon: Mindset of a Survivor
Scripture: Psalm 46:1 – 3; 5
1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;3 though its waters roar and foam,though the mountains tremble with its tumult. Selah
5 God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved;God will help it when the morning dawns.

{#1 Present Protector}
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
God is at work, even during times when our deliverance doesn’t come as quickly as we desire.
Survival precedes Rescue
While the Presence of God doesn’t automatically equate to the Absence of Trouble, it reminds us that when trouble arises, God is already there.
{#2 Companion in Chaos}
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;3 though its waters roar and foam,though the mountains tremble with its tumult. Selah
The Mindset of the Survivor embraces Peace as it remembers the Presence of God.

{#3 Firm Foundation}
V5: 5 God is in the midst of the city;
it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns.
We can successfully withstand inclimate seasons because God is our Firm Foundation
