Title: Remembering Where You Came From Makes You Know Where You Have the Potential to Go

Synopsis: After each of the twelve tribes placed their stones on the shore, Joshua returned to the very place where the miracle happened and set up another twelve stones in the deep. One memorial marked what God did. The other marked where it happened. These reminders were not just about history — they were about courage. When we remember what God did, where He did it, and what it meant, we gain the strength to keep moving forward no matter what we face.

Scripture: Joshua 4:8-9 (NKJV)

8 And the children of Israel did so, just as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the midst of the Jordan, as the Lord had spoken to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. 9 Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.

Message Points:

1️⃣ Recognize what God did!

2️⃣ Recognize what Others did!

3️⃣ Recognize what YOU have the potential to do!

4️⃣ Recognize your twelve stones!

Closing Charge:

What God has done in your past is not just history — it is preparation. The same God who met you in the deep waters is the God who is leading you forward now. When you remember where you came from, you gain courage for where you are going. Your story is not random. Your struggles were not wasted. Your stones are proof that promise still stands. Walk into this week remembering — and move with confidence in what God is building next.
