Sermon Title: Abundant Life (Part I)

{Scripture} John 10:10 KJV

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Synopsis: After surviving 2020, we are under no false illusions that 2021 will be a walk in the park. We are clear that life is uncertain, but we serve a certain God with the promise of Abundant Life.

Points:

I. Steal

· Peace

· Philippians 4: 6-7 “Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.

II. Kill

· Vision

· Habakkuk 2: 2-3 “Write a vision, and make it plain upon a tablet so that a runner can read it. There is still a vision for the appointed time; it testifies to the end; it does not deceive.

If it delays, wait for it; for it is surely coming; it will not be late.

III. Destroy

· Plans

· Jeremiah 29:11 “I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not a disaster, to give you a future filled with hope
