Engage Thursday Bible Study – January 29, 2026 | The Promise of His Presence – Week 3
Title: The Promise of His Presence – Week 3: With Moses & With Me
Scripture: Exodus 3:1–12
Summary: In this final session of The Promise of His Presence, we were reminded that God’s presence is not dependent on our readiness, clarity, or confidence. As God called Moses from the burning bush, He did not first explain the full plan — He first promised His presence.
Tonight’s teaching emphasized that many of our struggles come from focusing on our “ifs” rather than trusting God’s “I AM.” Moses questioned his ability, his authority, and his adequacy, yet God did not remove the calling — He reassured Moses that He would go with him.
This lesson challenged us to recognize that God’s presence is the source of our strength. When we stop underestimating God’s power, our connection to Him, and the faith He has already placed within us, we begin to move forward with confidence — not because we have all the answers, but because God is with us.
Key Takeaways:
• God’s presence is promised before the plan is fully revealed
• God does not wait for our confidence before calling us forward
• “What if” questions can block us from walking in faith
• God’s power is greater than our perceived limitations
• We are never disconnected from God — His presence is constant
• Faith grows when we trust who God is, not just what He will do
