Title: Jehovah Jireh My Provider – Week 2

Scripture:

Genesis 22 (CEB)

Key Verse: Genesis 22:14

“Abraham named that place ‘The LORD Sees.’ That is the reason people today say, ‘On this mountain the LORD is seen.’”

Summary:

Continuing Jehovah Jireh: My Provider, Pastor Paul challenged us to move beyond believing God can provide to actually expecting Him to provide. Abraham demonstrated that expectation through obedience. Even when he could not see how God would provide, he continued following God’s instructions, worshiping and trusting Him all the way to the final moment.

When Abraham looked up, God’s provision was already there. The ram met the immediate need, but God’s promise extended far beyond that moment. We are reminded to keep obeying, keep looking for where God is working, and not give up when the answer has not yet appeared. God is our Provider, and His provision is bigger than our possibilities.

Key Takeaways:

1. If we believe God is our Provider, we should expect Him to provide.

2. Obedience positions us to experience God’s promises, even when the journey is difficult or does not make sense.

3. Worship in difficult seasons expresses our faith, gratitude, devotion, and surrender to God.

4. Don’t give up at the last second. God’s provision may appear when we are closest to our limit.

5. Be ready and keep looking for where God is working so you do not miss the provision He has prepared.

6. God’s provision is bigger than our possibilities. What God provides may reach beyond our immediate need and bless others through us.
